Was reminded of David Foster Wallace while catching up on the Wired online feature Storyboard, in which the magazine reveals the process of creating a feature on Charlie Kaufman.

There were a few mentions made by the design team about DFW-style treatment of the profile in the print edition of the magazine. I realized it was Wallace they were talking about. Then I realized that Infinite Jest is still in my “must-read” pile, which has been growing, not shrinking.

And now I learn, late on this Saturday night, that he’s dead. David Foster Wallace, it seems, hanged himself.
