I've been carving out a space for myself as a pop culture critic and columnist, specialising in video-games and television. I write three regular columns: Trigger Happy for the Georgia Straight, Joystuck for FFWD Weekly, and Channel Changer for myTELUS. This is in addition to freelance writing I've done for the Globe & Mail, Vancouver Sun, and other venues.
I've set up a blog site – I call it the Mind Control Division (MCD) of Solo Corps – as a place to archive my writing, and to provide easy syndication options for those who are of a mind to use them.
So I've got more than twelve years experience as a freelance journalist and creative writer, with one book published (distributed worldwide, and in translation), and articles in newspapers, magazines, and electronic media. Some of my earlier credits include:
Contributing editor, Geist Magazine, January 2003–December 2004.
