Karaoke fun can be had by everyone with Apple Music Sing and Echo Auto puts Amazon Alexa in your vehicle.

Apple Music Sing turns every iPhone into a karaoke machine

Just as everybody’s talking about their Spotify Wrapped lists, Apple rolls out with something completely different.

Apple Music Sing is a new feature coming to Apple Music suscribers that turns iPhones, iPads, and televisions with connected Apple TV 4K boxes into karaoke machines.

Since iOS 13 was released in 2019, Apple Music has provided the option of seeing lyrics to many of the songs in the catalogue.

Soon, you’ll be able to sing along with those songs because Apple gives you control over the vocal levels of the song. And there’s a duet feature, too, that puts the lyric for different singers on opposites sides of the screen.

Apple Music Sing will be coming as an update to iOS 16 in December. A monthly subscription costs $11.

Echo Auto puts Alexa in your car

If you’re a fan of Amazon’s Alexa voice control service, you can put her in your car with Echo Auto ($70).

The small box connects to your car’s stereo system with Bluetooth or using a cable connected to the auxilary input and it brings you many of the things your Echo devices give you at home: Amazon Music, Apple Music, Spotify, TuneIn.

You can also tell Alexa through Echo Auto to make a call, manage your calendar, or add something to your holiday gift-buying list.

Amazon claims that with the eight microphones built into the device, Echo Auto can pick out your voice over all the sounds that can fill up your vehicle cabin.
