In today’s Georgia Straight is my run down the history of the battle between HD DVD and Blu-ray Disc in the struggle for high-def dominance.

HD DVD held on, but moves by movie distributors and big American retailers finally killed off the format.

I’m of the belief that Blu-ray is a better format, anyway, so I have no problem with this development.
